The exquisitely pretty Silene maritima, ideal for containers, flowers generously all summer and is scented. In winter, we leave it in place and it dies right back to brown but the trailing stems remain and new growth sprouts from them every year, without fail. There is confusion over the variety's name - some call it 'Robin Whitebreast', others say that's the single flowered one. So we just call it 'delightful'!  If you don't want to see it when it's dormant, put the pots out of sight. Doing this, it will increase its length year on year.  2 litre pots.  Hardy.
