This very attractive Joe Pye-Weed, or poke weed, has bright pink-red spikes of flowers in summer and green leaves with a tinge of bronze to them.  It likes full sun and moist soil but will tolerate a little shade.  Hardy to -5C.  H 16"  S 20"   The berries are black and are poisonous. Perennial.  2 litre pot.
