Formerly known as Chordospartium stevensonii this weeping New Zealand broom has pink flowers on whipcord branches, borne in elegant racemes in summer. It looks quite dead when young with straw coloured shoots but don't despair - it isn't! Half-Hardy in mild gardens, in a well-drained sunny spot it will go to -5C but will be killed in very cold winters. Water in dry spells but allow to drain well. Very unusual in UK and endangered in its native country due to loss of habitat. H.13' S.10' 2 litre pot.
