This intensely blue globe thistle is a wonderful cut flower and dries well, too, as well as a distinctive addition to the garden. Loved by bees and moths it flowers above the lovely silvery green foliage.  The leaves are deeply cut and aren't as prickly as they look!  Happiest in poor, well-drained soil and full sun.
