Named for Queen Isabella of Spain, this native of the Canary Islands has lovely red-orange flowers and flowers May to August. It's most unusual in UK and gives a tropical feel to the border, growing to about 4' in height. Needs well-drained sunny spot and is half-hardy, needing protection in winter. It's an endangered species and is on the 'red list'. We obtain seeds from a reputable and well-known seed merchant in Germany. 2 litre pot. Photo courtesy of Jelitto.
