At first upright, this evergreen shrub later spreads. It has dark green leaves, thorny branches and small white flowers in spring. The flowers are followed by bright red berries in autumn and it's for the berries that these are grown primarily. Plant in any fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or some shade. Hardy. 2 litre pot.
