• Rosa bracteata (Macartney rose)

This hard-to-find old, lemon scented, single white rose probably originated in China and came to England with British Ambassador, Lord Macartney in 1793. It's one of the parents of the famous 'Mermaid' rose. This classic climbing rose has a grace & beauty all its own but has vicious thorns! The foliage is glossy dark green, disease resistant and evergreen. This is one for any collector of special roses. Ours are in 2 litre pots, about 12" tall & nice bushy plants. 1 only per customer.
