This is a deciduous shrub with large leaves which are heart-shaped. In summer to mid-autumn it has many clusters of fragrant rosy red, fragrant flowers. Suckering. H&S around 9'. Grows in most soil types but prefers Acid to Neutral, in partial shade or full sun, facing south or west. Give it a sheltered spot away from cold winds and give it a winter mulch. Frost hardy to around -6C.
